First Annual
Junior Livestock Youth Scholarship

The Kitsap Community & Agricultural Alliance (KCAA) and the Mason-Kitsap Farm Bureau are excited to announce a NEW joint scholarship to support youth participating in the 2026 Kitsap County Junior Livestock Auction! 

​

This scholarship is designed to help young people involved in agriculture by covering some of the upfront costs of a livestock project, including purchasing an animal, feed, fencing, and other related expenses.

Elligibility: 

  • Students in grades K–12

  • Residents of Kitsap or Mason County

  • Participating in either small or large animal projects

  • One entry per participant

Categories:

  • Large Animal (pork, sheep, goat, beef, dairy) 
    8 scholarships @ $200 each

  • Small Animal (rabbits, poultry, fowl)
    8 scholarships @ $100 each

    A total of 16 scholarships will be awarded. ​​

Important Dates:

  • Online applications open: Feb. 7, 2026

  • Applications close: Feb. 27, 2026

  • Application Review: 1st week of March

  • Announcement of Scholarships: 2nd week of March

  • Checks mailed to Recipients: 3rd week of March
