Dear Friends and Ag Partners,
We’re excited to share some great news with you!
On Monday, January 26th at 10am, the Kitsap County Board of County Commissioners will approve a resolution to formally create the long-awaited Agriculture Advisory Council! The meeting will take place in the County Chambers at 619 Division Street in Port Orchard. (See PDF file at the bottom of this article.)
This 11-member Council will advise County Commissioners and staff on agricultural policy, land use, and economic opportunities, while supporting the long-term sustainability and resilience of Kitsap County agriculture.
THANK YOU to everyone who signed the KCAA petition in December, and to the many farmers and agricultural supporters who have championed the formation of this council for decades. This long-standing vision is becoming a reality, and we are proud to have played a part in this collaborative effort!
If you are able, please plan to join us at Monday’s meeting and show your support for this important milestone.
If you’re unable to attend in person, you may follow along via Zoom. Click here for the January 26, 2026 meeting agenda, which includes the Zoom link.
We look forward to a wonderful year ahead as the Advisory Council begins its work in service of Kitsap County agriculture!
With appreciation,
The KCAA Board of Directors
