The Kitsap Community & Agricultural Alliance (KCAA) was proud to serve as the fiscal sponsor for the Kitsap Agritourism Coalition for the second year in their Annual Farm Tour—an event that connects the community to local farms across the peninsula.
This year’s Farm Tour featured 11 farms, giving the public an opportunity to explore multiple working farms in a one-day, self-guided experience. The tour is an initiative of the Kitsap Agritourism Coalition, a group of dedicated farmers working together to promote agritourism and highlight the diversity of agriculture in Kitsap County.
KCAA hosted a booth at Petersen Farm in Silverdale, where Vice President and Treasurer Geno and Karissa Holcombe, along with their children, welcomed visitors and shared information about KCAA’s mission and programs. Board Member Scott Hall presented Living History Farm Talks every hour in front of the historic Petersen Barn—an especially meaningful location, as Scott worked and farmed alongside Mr. Gerry Petersen for more than a decade prior to his passing in 2009.

It was a day to celebrate agriculture and agritourism in Kitsap County, and the KCAA was proud to be a part of it!
