KCAA Proud to Support the 2nd Annual Kitsap Farm Tour

The KCAA was proud to support the 2nd Annual Kitsap Farm Tour—this year as the event’s fiscal sponsor! The Farm Tour is an initiative of the Kitsap Agritourism Coalition (KAC), a group of dedicated farmers working together to promote agritourism and connect the public with local agriculture across Kitsap County.

Held on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 10am-4pm, the one-day, self-guided tour offered the public a chance to explore 11 working farms throughout Kitsap County. The event was free to attend, with a suggested donation of $10 per family or car. All donations went directly to the Kitsap Agritourism Coalition to help grow and enhance the tour in future years.

The 2024 tour was a resounding success, attracting more than 2,000 attendees from across the region. Each site showcased the diversity of Kitsap’s agricultural community—from produce and livestock to flowers, fiber, and value-added products. Many farms also partnered with other local producers, offering visitors an even broader look at the richness of Kitsap’s local food system.

Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with visitors praising the interactive, educational activities and the opportunity to connect directly with local farmers. The Kitsap Farm Tour was made possible through the collaboration of Kitsap Agritourism Coalition, WSU Kitsap Extension, Visit Kitsap Peninsula, and the Kitsap Community & Agricultural Alliance (KCAA)!
