The KCAA is excited to offer 20 scholarships to community members who would like to attend a special screening of the documentary, Women's Work: The Untold Stories of America's Female Farmers, presented by Friends of the Farms.
This powerful film highlights the voices and experiences of women in agriculture - stories that are often overlooked, yet deeply important to the future of farming. The screening will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Lynwood Theatre on Bainbridge Island. Scholarship recipients will be fully reimbursed for the $25 ticket cost after attending the film, making this a great opportunity to experience an inspiring story at no cost.
Applying is simple. First, purchase your ticket for the April 19 screening of Women's Work. Then, email proof of your ticket purchase to info@kitsapag.org with the subject line “Women's Work – Film Scholarship.” Please include a screenshot or receipt showing your ticket purchase. Scholarships are limited to one per person.
After attending the film screening, KCAA will issue a $25 reimbursement check to scholarship recipients. Scholarships are available until all 20 spots are filled, so we encourage you to apply early.
We extend our sincere thanks to Friends of the Farms for the important work they do to support and protect agriculture in Kitsap County. If you have any questions, please contact info@kitsapag.org.
