KCAA Board Openings: Join Us in Supporting Kitsap Agriculture!

Dear Ag Partners,

The Kitsap Community & Agricultural Alliance is looking for community members who are excited about supporting agriculture to join our Board of Directors. We currently have openings for a Board Secretary and a few Members at Large.

About us: The KCAA is Kitsap's longest-standing agricultural nonprofit, built by local farmers nearly 20 years ago. We are a board of volunteers who envision a vibrant community sustained by a thriving local food system - and that vision guides everything we do. Our mission is to support Kitsap farmers, nurture community ties, and strengthen the connection between local farms and the families they feed.

Open Board Positions:

Secretary

Time commitment: 6-8 hours per month. Duties inclue:

• Attending monthly board meetings, which rotate between Zoom and in-person gatherings. Meetings take place on the 1st Thursday of each month from 6-8pm. Bonus: When we meet in person, we potluck - and our resident master chef (and Board President), Bob, never disappoints with his Michelin-style contributions.

• Attending KCAA events as scheduled.

• Taking meeting notes and uploading minutes to our shared Google Drive.

• Monitoring our main email inbox every few days to ensure timely responses to our community.

• Keeping our membership list updated and organized (we always appreciate a good spreadsheet hero).

Member at Large

Time Commitment: 3-4 hours per month.

Duties include:

• Attending monthly board meetings, which rotate between Zoom and in-person gatherings. Meetings take place on the 1st Thursday of each month from 6-8pm.

• Attending KCAA events as scheduled.
